ESE’s engagement with EU cancer policies and research
The prevalence of endocrine-related cancers is rapidly increasing in the European population. For this reason, we are actively engaged in ongoing discussions around the EU’s Beating Cancer Plan. We contributed to the first consultation on the Beating Cancer plan in early 2020, and our position paper has been shared with the policy-makers involved in shaping the plan. We have also organised discussions between ESE experts and EU decision-makers around (endocrine) cancers, and worked to raise awareness of the issue on World Cancer Day and at our Annual Congress.
