EYES Observership (exchange) Programme Grants

This Programme provides an opportunity for ESE Early Career Investigators (ECI) from Europe to grow and learn during a short, one-month stay in an endocrine centres of special interest. We have options for those in clinical and research specialities.

The first EYES Clinical Observership Programme (COP) was launched in 2019. A complementary Research Observership Programme (ROP) was launched in 2021 to run alongside the COP in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Several Observerships are awarded each year, including three funded by ESE (COP and ROP) amounting to €1,000 each, and others that are self-funded by participants.

NEW IN 2024

We were pleased to announce a pilot to the existing COP. This 'Bilateral Observership Programme (BOP)' opens the opportunity to applications from early career investigators from our Associate Partner Society: Sociedade Brasileira de Endocrinonologia e Metabologia (SBEM)

In addition, we launched the EYES Advanced Research Observership (AROP) Grant programme. This allows awardees to conduct basic or translational scientific projects at their allocated ROP centre for up to three months, with a grant of up to €3,000 per awardee.

THE GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024 OBSERVERSHIPS HAVE NOW CLOSED. APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF THE OUTCOME IN DUE COURSE

Applications for the 2025 Observership Grants will open in December 2024.
