Stand Up for Science 2025

Friday 7 March 2025 Recent US policy changes impacting the global science community have led to the formation of Stand Up for Science, a series of events to be held today in cities across the US, France and elsewhere.

ESE believes that science is global, and it is for everyone.

Improving our understanding of endocrine health and science starts with robust research. ESE supports a range of research activities to advance clinical knowledge, promote collaboration and support our members in accessing research opportunities.

Our major research projects include an Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency audit, setting up a European Registry on Cushing’s Syndrome and most recently, the landmark EndoCompass Project, which creates opportunities for the pioneers of endocrine science — because their success means better endocrine health for all.

We are also committed to advocating for hormone health at a policy level. Our representatives regularly brief EU members of parliament on the latest issues and developments concerning hormone health, most recently meeting EU Commissioner Jessika Roswall and other high-level EU representatives in Brussels from 4-5 March. We will also continue to raise awareness and drive change on a global scale through World Hormone Day.

Today's Stand Up for Science events across the US, France and elsewhere aim to “to defend science as a public good and pillar of social, political, and economic progress”.
