New Focus Area leads appointed!
We are delighted to announce the appointment of new Focus Area leads for the Adrenal and Cardiovascular Endocrinology Focus Area, Diabetes, Obesity, Metabolism and Nutrition Focus Area, Pituitary and Neuroendocrinology Focus Area, and Reproductive and Developmental Endocrinology Focus Area.
Focus Areas and Focus Area leads are at the heart of ESE: they own and drive the endocrine area related content across everything ESE does, aiming to integrate the basic science and clinical perspective and to inform ESE’s activities and programmes.
For the Adrenal and Cardiovascular Endocrinology Focus Area, Mercedes Robledo from Spain will take over from Maria Christina Zennaro as the Basic Lead, partnering with Eystein Husebye from Norway as the Clinical Lead.
For the Diabetes, Obesity, Metabolism and Nutrition Focus Area, Ruben Nogueiras from Spain will take over from Uberto Pagotto and will be the Basic Lead, partnering with Liesbeth van Rossum from the Netherlands as the Clinical Lead.
For the Pituitary and Neuroendocrinology Focus Area, Greisa Vila from Austria will take over from Niki Karavitaki as the Clinical Lead, partnering with Justo Castaño from Spain as the Basic Lead.
For the Reproductive and Developmental Endocrinology Focus Area, Irene Lambrinoudaki from Greece will take over from Bulent Yildiz as the Clinical Lead, and Paolo Giacobini from France will take over from Jenny Visser from the Netherlands as the Basic Science Lead.
