World Environment Day

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5 June and encourages awareness and action for the protection of he environment. It is supported by many non-governmental organizations, businesses, government entities, and represents the primary United Nations outreach day supporting the environment. 

This year's World Environment Day campaign focuses on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience under the slogan “Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration.” The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host the 2024 World Environment Day global celebrations.

ESE uses the day as a hook to raise awareness for the risks of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals and the general importance of a toxic-free environment.
