World Diabetes Day

14 November is World Diabetes Day! Diabetes is a key endocrine condition that occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough of the hormone insulin, or the body cannot use insulin properly.

According to the latest IDF Atlas (2021), in the European region 1 in 11 adults have diabetes, while 1 in 3 (36%) people living with diabetes are undiagnosed.

Diabetes and well-being is the theme for World Diabetes Day 2024-2026.
