Patients are at the heart of everything we do, and Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) have been an important part of the European Congress of Endocrinology (ECE) for a number of years. Representatives attend the Congress not only to hear the scientific content but also to connect with healthcare professionals and share information.
Find out more about ESE’s Patient Advocacy Group (PAG) Affiliate Membership Scheme.
Each year at ECE, PAGs have the opportunity to provide information and education to delegates through Patient’s Voice Hub sessions and information desks in the Patient Experience Zone.
The Patient’s Voice Hub - sponsored by Novo Nordisk
In its fourth year, The Patient’s Voice Hub was incorporated into the main scientific programme, with sessions taking place alongside industry satellites on Sunday 12 and Monday 13 May, in the ECE Hubs and also live streamed to ECE@Home participants. These educational sessions are curated by patient organisations and bring together leading healthcare professionals and patient advocates to discuss the real-life impact of treatment approaches and practices. We were delighted to once again bring this important perspective to the ECE audience.
The Patient Experience Zone - sponsored by Novo Nordisk and SERB Pharmaceuticals
The Patient Experience Zone was again be in place at ECE 2024. This dedicated area, was a central fixture in the exhibition hall, provided patient groups with a space from which to provide focused information and education about the patient journey, from diagnosis through to treatment and ongoing support.
