ESE Committee Vacancies 2025

Would you like to be involved with shaping the future of endocrinology? ESE has several Committee vacancies available, and we encourage all members to either apply for themselves or nominate a colleague to join a Committee.

Depending on the Committee, you may not need any specific experience but should be keen to take an active role in the important work that the Committee is involved with.

We are looking for members from all career levels, specialities and geographical locations; together we can develop knowledge and share expertise in endocrine science and medicine and help fulfil our vision to unite, support and represent the endocrine community!

The Clinical Committee aims to advance the quality and equality of patient care in endocrinology across Europe pursuing alliances with and supporting all healthcare professionals in endocrinology (clinicians, specialist nurses and allied professions) delivering patient care. One of the main tasks of the Committee is to coordinate the clinical guideline programme of ESE. This Committee further supports the ESE Education Committee on clinical education activities in endocrinology and supports the ESE Patient Organisation Network helping to ensure ESE is actively engaged in an appropriate level of patient support activities.

There are two positions available and Committee members must be a member of ESE. To promote balance and diversity within the committee in terms of gender and geographical location, we would like to encourage female candidates and candidates from Eastern Europe. The term of office is four years and will commence in May 2025 (at the time of the European Congress of Endocrinology).

The Congress Committee serves as a link between the vision and strategy of the ESE Executive Committee and the ESE Office and Professional Congress Organiser.  The Committee provides feedback to the ESE Team in relation to practical items such as industry time slots, programme, and educational concepts, and has a role in selecting the host locations for the European Congress of Endocrinology.

There are two positions available and Committee members must be a member of ESE. The term of office is four years and will commence in May 2025 (at the time of the European Congress of Endocrinology).

The Education Committee develops and maintains a sustainable education strategy for ESE. The Committee ensures that ESE remains relevant and attractive to all career stages of our membership and provides a range of educational activity.

Candidates should have a keen interest in topics  of education and relevant experience in this area. We would like to encourage candidates from the area of diabetes and obesity, and from countries not already represented on the committee, in order to promote balance and diversity within the Committee in terms of area of interest, gender and geographical location.

There are 3 member positions available and Committee members must be a member of ESE. The term of office is four years and will commence in May 2025 (at the time of the European Congress of Endocrinology).

The EYES Committee promotes activities that engage early Careers investigators and senior members in open dialogue and collaborative initiatives. The Committee’s aim is to increase ECI awareness of research trends and application of new technology and to increase engagement of clinical trainees and improve training in endocrinology across Europe.

There are two committee positions available. Committee members must be a member of ESE. The term of office is four years and will commence in May 2025 (at the time of the European Congress of Endocrinology).

The EYES News magazine is a focal point for our early-career community communications and includes interviews, opinion articles, debates, society news, as well as events, educational activities and grants and awards.

The Editorial Board is responsible for planning issues and generating ideas for content and there are two positions available for the period 2025 to 2027 and will commence in May 2025 (at the time of the European Congress of Endocrinology). Editorial Board members should be early-career members of ESE.

EYES News - the magazine of the EYES Community

The Nominations Committee is responsible for the nomination and election processes for committee membership and for the ESE Award procedures. The Nominations Committee also reviews nominations received for individual committee vacancies and provides any comment in regard to balancing the overall committee membership in terms of diversity to the individual Committee Chair for consideration.

The Nominations Committee has two positions available. The candidate should be a respected endocrinologist or scientist with a record of excellence and with a broad range of scientific activities in endocrinology. In addition, they should be experienced and have a good overview of ESE and its activities. 

The term of office is four years and will commence in May 2025 (at the time of the annual European Congress of Endocrinology).

The Science Committee acts to support scientific research in Endocrinology across Europe. This committee provides researchers with education, resources, and guidance to facilitate careers in endocrine science.  

There are three positions available. We would like to encourage candidates who are scientists (rather than clinician scientists) in order to promote balance and diversity within the Committee in terms of area of interest, gender, and geographical location. Committee members must be a member of ESE. 

The term of office is four years and will commence in May 2025 (at the time of the European Congress of Endocrinology).
